I grew up in a dog-loving family, and my parents operated Pek-In-Kennels in Vernon for nearly 20 years. Being around so many different dogs taught me early that every dog has their own personality, routines, quirks, preferences—and very definite opinions about how things should be done.
After spending 23 years working in local government, I eventually decided it was time to build something around one of the things I’ve always loved most: dogs.
That became Happy Tails To You.
What I love most about in-home dog sitting is that your dogs don’t have to completely change their world just because you’re traveling. They get to stay in their own home, sleep in their usual spots, eat on their normal schedule, go on their familiar walks, and keep as much of their routine as possible.
I get to know their personalities, their habits, their favorite places to nap, how they like their treats delivered, and all the little things that make them them.
My goal is simple: when you’re away, I want your dogs to feel safe, loved, comfortable, and completely at home.
And the name?
My dad’s favorite song was “Happy Trails.” When I was choosing a name for this new chapter, Happy Tails To You just felt right.
